Throughout his university studies, Yulong Gan has consistently prioritized academic achievement and maintained a rigorous, evidence-based approach to learning. With outstanding academic performance, he received the First-Class Scholarship of Tianjin University of Science and Technology for three consecutive years and earned the National Scholarship, the highest honor awarded to undergraduate students, in recognition of his exceptional all-round abilities. Committed to balanced development in moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, and practical education, he was also named an “Outstanding Student of Tianjin” and a “Merit Student of Tianjin University of Science and Technology.” Ultimately, his excellent overall performance earned him eligibility for recommendation-based admission to postgraduate study without the national entrance examination. He successfully secured admission to the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, where he aspires to continue advancing toward new academic heights.

With a strong foundation in the interdisciplinary fields of artificial intelligence and information technology, Yulong Gan has demonstrated outstanding research potential. During his undergraduate studies, he published five high-quality academic papers. Equally committed to translating research into practical applications, he served as the principal investigator of the national-level Undergraduate Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program project, Integrated Emergency Response Platform for Social Emergency Response Forces, which he successfully completed. Through this project, he helped advance the application of information technology in real-world emergency response and rescue scenarios.

(3) Competition Excellence: Driven by Technological Innovation and Distinguished by Well-Rounded Abilities

Yulong Gan has actively participated in science and technology innovation competitions, winning more than 20 awards at the national, provincial, and ministerial levels. His notable achievements include a National Bronze Award in the 2024 China International College Students’ Innovation Competition, a National Second Prize in the 18th China Collegiate Computing Competition, and a National Third Prize in the 15th China College Students’ Service Outsourcing Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. He has also earned numerous awards at the provincial level and above in specialized competitions such as the Lanqiao Cup and the Algorithm Peak Challenge. These accomplishments demonstrate his strong algorithm design and programming skills, as well as his solid engineering and practical problem-solving abilities.

(4) Meaningful Service: Deeply Engaged in Volunteer Work and Demonstrating a Strong Sense of Social Responsibility

In student affairs, Yulong Gan served as Vice Chairman of the Student Science and Technology Association at Tianjin University of Science and Technology and as a growth mentor for freshmen at the School of Artificial Intelligence. Dedicated to his responsibilities and committed to supporting fellow students, he was named an “Outstanding Communist Youth League Member of Tianjin University of Science and Technology” in 2025.

In volunteer service and public welfare, Yulong Gan upholds the spirit of dedication, having contributed more than 300 hours of volunteer service. His enthusiasm for public service has earned him multiple Outstanding Volunteer honors, and he has also participated in voluntary blood donation on several occasions. In the summer of 2024, he led a team in the “Three Rural Areas” social practice program, receiving formal commendation from the Tianjin Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League. He also participated in the 16th “China Tour of Meteorological Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Publicity Volunteers,” earning Second Prize at the national level.
