II. Personal Achievements

(1) Strengthening Ideals and Convictions Through Continuous Learning

Zhao Zhongpei submitted his application to join the Communist Party of China shortly after entering university and has consistently held himself to the standards expected of a Party member. He has since become one of the first students in his cohort to attain full CPC membership and was selected for the College of Artificial Intelligence's Young Marxists Training Program. With firm ideals and convictions, he has actively fulfilled his responsibilities as a role model among his peers. He has received honors such as University-Level Outstanding Communist Youth League Member Model and has continuously strengthened his sense of purpose through theoretical learning and practical experience.

(2) Pursuing Academic Excellence and Advancing to a Higher Research Platform

Throughout his undergraduate studies, Zhao has regarded academic learning as the foundation of his personal development. In his junior year, he ranked first in his major in both grade point average and comprehensive evaluation, achieving a GPA of 4.43 for postgraduate recommendation and a score of 513 on the College English Test Band 6 (CET-6). He received the University's First-Class Scholarship for three consecutive years, along with the National Scholarship for Undergraduates and the title of Outstanding Student of Tianjin Municipality. He has been recommended for admission to an academician-led research group at the Hangzhou Institute for Advanced Study, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, where he will pursue a master's degree.

(3) Developing Research and Innovation Capabilities Through Competitions and Scientific Exploration

Zhao has consistently worked to strengthen his programming, algorithmic, and research capabilities through active participation in academic competitions and research projects. Competing individually, he won the National Second Prize in the Lanqiao Cup National Finals, a Bronze Award in the Baidu Star Programming Competition Finals, and the National Third Prize in the RAICOM Robot Developer Competition. He also participated in a national-level College Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program. In scientific research, he has focused on software engineering and optimization, contributing to three high-quality research projects. As first author, he published one paper in an SCI-indexed Q2 journal classified as Category B by the China Computer Federation (CCF). As second author, he published one paper at a CCF Category C international conference and submitted another first-author manuscript to a top-tier SCI Q1 journal. Through continuous research exploration, he has strengthened his ability to address complex engineering problems.

(4) Demonstrating Responsibility Through Student Leadership and Community Service

As class monitor, Zhao has conscientiously fulfilled his responsibilities and served his classmates. Under his leadership, the class ranked first across the School and received several collective honors, including University-Level Outstanding Class, Outstanding Academic Culture Class, and May Fourth Red Flag Youth League Branch. Zhao himself was recognized as an Outstanding Student Leader at the university level. In social practice, he served as the principal organizer of the “Tracing Tianjin's Heritage” program on behalf of the School, leading his team to receive recognition for an Outstanding Social Practice Route in Tianjin Municipality. He also participated in three online volunteer teaching programs, completed more than 260 hours of volunteer service, and donated a total of 600 mL of blood. Through these contributions, he has demonstrated the commitment and social responsibility of a young student in the new era.
