Recently, the Tianjin Municipal Education Commission released the list of the first batch of industry-education integration brand majors approved for construction in ordinary universities in Tianjin. The Software Engineering major of our college has been recognized as one of the first batch of construction sites for industry-education integration brand majors in ordinary universities in Tianjin.

As a national first-class undergraduate major (construction site), Software Engineering has established a "multi-win mechanism for in-depth industry-education integration" and a "software talent training model featuring three coordinations and four integrations". Through the practical system of "integration of science and education, interconnection between universities and enterprises, co-construction and sharing, and innovation and entrepreneurship demonstration", the major implements talent training through curriculum co-construction, innovative practice, project-based training, and project collaboration by a diverse teaching team composed of university and enterprise faculty. Taking actual enterprise projects as the carrier, it addresses the disconnect between theoretical teaching and the actual needs of the industry through in-depth industry-education integration. The achievement "Exploration and Practice of a Characteristic Software Talent Training Model with Industry Leadership, Multi-party Collaboration, and Whole-process Integration" has won the first prize of Tianjin Teaching Achievement Award. In recent years, relying on Tianjin's first batch of characteristic and exemplary software colleges as the platform, the major has built a "1+2+N" university-enterprise cooperation framework. It has presided over 4 Tianjin Teaching Achievement Awards, obtained approval for 1 national first-class course and 2 Tianjin municipal first-class courses. The "Kylin Workshop - Tianjin University of Science and Technology Information Innovation Adaptation Training Camp", a pioneering university-enterprise cooperation project in China that introduces real information innovation adaptation verification projects into the campus in collaboration with Kylin Software Co., Ltd., won the Typical Case Award of the "University-Enterprise Cooperation Double Hundred Program" at the 2021 China Higher Education Expo. Students of this major have won more than 200 provincial and ministerial-level discipline competition awards, including the national gold medal at the China International College Students' Innovation Competition. The experience in professional construction has been invited to be shared at national conferences such as the World Intelligence Congress, the Establishment Conference of the National Information Innovation Industry-Education Consortium, and the Higher Education Expo, receiving widespread praise.

Moving forward, the School of Artificial Intelligence will continue to adhere to the construction standards of first-class majors, improve supporting measures, continuously consolidate the foundation, and enhance school-running conditions. Adhering to the orientation of demand, standards, and characteristics, it will take social needs as the premise, strengthen the characteristics of the Software Engineering major, continuously improve the quality of talent training, and cultivate first-class talents.

The School of Artificial Intelligence will continue to implement the university's "Pioneer Plan". Taking this approval as a construction site and cultivation site for industry-education integration brand majors as an opportunity, it will promote the organic connection of the education chain, talent chain with the industrial chain and innovation chain, and continuously deepen the collaborative education between universities and enterprises.
