From August 5 to 8, 2024, the 20th International Conference on Intelligent Computing (ICIC 2024) was held grandly in Tianjin.

This conference was hosted by Ningbo East University of Technology (tentative name), organized by Tianjin University of Science and Technology, and co-organized by China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing), China University of Mining and Technology, and North China University of Science and Technology. It was guided by the Tianjin Association for Science and Technology, the Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security of Tianjin Economic and Technological Development Zone, and the Talent Office of Tianjin Economic and Technological Development Zone. As a CCF Class C international academic conference in the field of computer science and artificial intelligence, the conference themed "Intelligent Computing Leads the Future" aimed to promote academic exchanges in areas such as artificial intelligence, pattern recognition, evolutionary computation, informatics theory and applications, computational neuroscience and bioscience, soft computing, and human-computer interaction, and to advance scientific research and industrial development in the field of intelligent computing. Registration opened on the afternoon of August 5, 2024, with the official sessions running from August 6 to 8.


The conference topics included: Evolutionary Algorithms and Optimization, Computational Intelligence and Data Processing, Emerging Technologies and Applications, Machine Learning and Pattern Recognition, Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery, Intelligent Computing and Natural Language Processing, Intelligent Control and Expert Systems, Genomics and Gene Expression, Proteomics and Protein Structure, Biological Data Analysis and Mining, and Bioinformatics. Leaders from relevant units such as Binhai New Area and the Tianjin Association for Science and Technology were invited to provide guidance. Distinguished academicians, renowned scholars, and experts from home and abroad were invited to deliver keynote speeches, including Professor Ming Dong (Vice President of Tianjin University), Professor Chen Shengyong (Vice President of Tianjin University of Technology), Professor Qin Peiwu (Tsinghua University Shenzhen International Graduate School), Professor Qu Ying (Beijing Normal University), and Professor Chen Xiaoyan (Chief Scientist of Shenzhen Ansoft Technology Co., Ltd.). Professor Ming Dong has made outstanding contributions to the field of artificial intelligence and remote sensing image processing; Professor Chen Shengyong has rich research achievements in machine vision and image processing; Professor Qin Peiwu has important academic contributions in artificial intelligence; Professor Qu Ying has profound attainments in intelligent interpretation of remote sensing images and computer vision; and Professor Chen Xiaoyan has made remarkable achievements in process parameter detection and control, intelligent edge computing, and biomedical parameter monitoring. The participation of these experts provided valuable opportunities for academic exchange and cooperation among participants.


The conference was guided by the Tianjin Association for Science and Technology, the Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security of Tianjin Economic and Technological Development Zone, and the Talent Office of Tianjin Economic and Technological Development Zone. The conference received more than 2,500 submissions, with over 800 accepted. More than 500 experts, young scholars, and industry representatives from universities, research institutes, and enterprises at home and abroad attended the conference and delivered oral reports. Seven parallel technical sessions were set up simultaneously to provide a communication and presentation platform for professionals eager to share academic achievements and explore cooperation opportunities. Additionally, five parallel forums were held, covering topics such as virtual simulation, smart mines, industrial intelligence and safety, and intelligent manufacturing.







At this conference, over 500 scholars and industry professionals from around the world gathered in Tianjin to conduct extensive academic discussions and exchanges on special topics including intelligent optimization algorithms, computer vision, machine learning, deep learning, image processing, intelligent data analysis, and prediction, promoting the innovative development and progress of the intelligent computing field!
