AI School's "Green Language & Ingenuity – Green Long March" Vanguard: Xianyangli Community Outreach

In active response to the national green development policy and striving to be pioneers of environmental protection in the new era, the "Green Language & Ingenuity – Green Long March Expedition" Vanguard of Tianjin University of Science and Technology carried out a social practice activity on garbage classification publicity in Tianjin's Xianyangli Community on July 30.

Team members posted garbage classification posters and popularized related knowledge to residents in places like the community garden and bulletin boards of Xianyangli Community. In addition, they displayed and introduced self-made trash bin models to the residents. This practice further enhanced community residents' awareness of garbage classification. Many residents said, "I used to be confused about how to classify some garbage, but now I understand after seeing the posters and listening to the explanations."

Subsequently, the vanguard held vivid lectures for teenagers in the community. Combining practical examples, team members elaborated on key points of garbage classification and shared their experiences in ecological restoration and protection. Children actively asked questions, ranging from "Which category do fruit peels belong to?" to "How to classify old toys?" The team members answered patiently, helping the environmental concept of garbage classification take root in the children's hearts.

This practical activity made community residents more aware of the close connection between garbage classification and their daily lives, and accumulated valuable experience for the team's subsequent continuous environmental protection work in the community. The practice team will set out again with this experience, continue to popularize knowledge among community residents and teenagers, help build a "spiritual Great Wall" of environmental protection awareness, and let the concept of green life take root in the community.
