To accelerate the implementation of the "Pioneer Plan" for high-quality and connotative development, the College of Artificial Intelligence held discussions on September 27 in Meeting Room 8-209 with Chemical Industry Press Co., Ltd. regarding collaboration on textbook development. The discussions focused on the creation and publication of national planning textbooks and new engineering textbooks, as well as the development and application of new-form digital resources such as digital textbooks. Following the talks, the two parties signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement.

At the meeting, Secretary Zhanjun Si of the College of Artificial Intelligence extended a warm welcome to the delegation from Chemical Industry Press and provided a brief introduction to the college. He also shared his vision for the future collaboration between the two sides in the field of textbook development. Xinghui Zhang, Editor-in-Chief of Chemical Industry Press, gave an overview of the press and engaged in in-depth exchanges with the college on how AI can empower textbook development.

Yarui Chen, Vice Dean of the College of Artificial Intelligence, provided a detailed presentation on the college’s efforts in developing new engineering textbooks, planning textbooks, and engineering case collections. Hong Zhou, Editor from the Textbook Project Team of Chemical Industry Press, elaborated on the press’s experience in planning textbook development, digital/online textbook publishing services, and the compilation work for the artificial intelligence textbook series in higher education. Leaders from both sides conducted thorough discussions on textbook development.

The event concluded with the signing of the comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement by Xiankun Zhang, Dean of the College of Artificial Intelligence, and Xinghui Zhang, Editor-in-Chief of Chemical Industry Press. The two parties reached a broad consensus on various areas, including the publication and planning of textbooks (monographs), project applications, award nominations, and skills training.
